Daichunlin originated and had a great reputation in Yangzhou as it was widely known that their fragranced powder contained trace elements of precious pearl powder. When the Kangxi emperor visited southern Yangzhou, the eunuch greatly appreciated the Daichunlin and even bought fragranced powder back to the Imperial Palace.
