Wang Pan-youn wrote: "Life is a momentary stop, living is like the passing traveler who yields to fate, nothing needs to be disputed or haggled over. Only painting is the diary to my heart and soul, that demands my absolute devotion."Hence, he condensed all the stories of his life onto the canvas. There are no unnecessary nagging and complains, only the silent wandering of his sentiments. Professor Wang Che-hsiung believes that"Symbolist painters like to use the sun and the moon as symbols for their feelings. Wang Pan-youn tries to overcome his lovesickness through his poetic expression."The setting of the Moon down to the Earth, the birds flying high in the horizons, too far apart to see each other, are transformed into his infinite longings for his lover.
