HUANG Hung-Teh

HUANG was born in Tainan, Taiwan. He graduated from the Fine Art Department of the National Taiwan Academy of Arts in 1983. The awards that HUANG had won includes the 10th Hsiung Shin New Artists Prize in 1985, the R.O.C. New Prospects Exhibition of Modern Paintings by Taipei Fine Arts Museum in 1986, and the Modern Painting Creation Prize of Li Chun-shan Foundation in 1995. HUANG’s artwork have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across nations. Those exhibitions includes “Ten Ways of Reading Taiwan Art” held in Fairmate Art Gallery, Taipei, 1994; Joint Exhibition in Yokohama Portside Gallery, Japan “Four Contemporary Artists In Taiwan” in 1994; the toured “Exhibition of Contemporary Taiwan Art” during 1995-1996 in Australia; and the group exhibition “The Transitional Eighties: Taiwan's Art Breaks New Ground” and "Contemporary Ink Painting and the state of the Ink " both held by Taipei Fine Arts Museum in 2004.
